Introducing.. handsome Lewis!

Lewis's Story:

Lewis is just 5 months old and has spent his short life growing up in a shelter in Romania.

We had a plea from a volunteer rescuer in Romania stating that there were 13 extremely vulnerable puppies in the shelter that were going to struggle to make it through their harsh winter with minimal shelter and minimal food. We agree to take the 2 most vulnerable which was Lewis and his very skinny friend Angelo.

Lewis has never lived in a home before and so will require time, patience, understanding and lots of positive based training to help him learn the ropes of home life.

 

Bio:

With other dogs: 

Lewis loves playing out with the other pups and adult dogs however, he has shown worrying signs of food guarding so it would only be sensible for us to adopt him out as an only dog.

With cats:

Lewis is untested with cats therefore, he can not be rehomed with them. Due to the food guarding, we wouldn't be able to guarantee that he wouldn't hurt a cat if food was involved.

Active energy

Lewis is currently a quiet pup as he doesn't yet have the confidence to be his true self, but he is quickly getting there. He may grow up to be an energetic dog, but at the moment, we can't say for certain what his energy levels will be as he grows up

Lewis has spent his entire life being surrounded by other dogs and so has never been left alone, completely by himself. He will need a home where someone is around for most of the day and that can slowly build up his alone time to prevent creating separation anxiety and to show him that it is ok to be alone sometimes

Lead trained

Lewis is not yet lead trained. This will come once he has settled into his new home and has built a bond with his new family

Training required

Lewis has no form of basic training. This will all come in time once he has settled and learnt to fully trust his adopters
