Jet's info:

  • Sex: Female
  • Age:  Approx. 7 years
  • Size: Large (Labrador size)
  • Breed: Mixed Breed

Bio:

Poor Jet has had a horrific life before arriving with us... She is covered in scars from her past, her poor ears have been torn by other dogs and she has had many litters of pups which can be seen by her loose mammary skin.

This sweet girl needs a forever home where she can finally rest and have the TLC she has never had before.

Jet is not coping well in kennels at the moment; she is at her happiest when she can be outside with toys or another dog plodding around and doing their own thing.

Jet will need a home with people that are around more and with access to the garden when she wants it. We think she has lived outside all her life and becomes worried when confined. She could have a doghouse in the garden to take herself into if she wants a nap outdoors.

She is an independent pooch; she will come around for some fuss and love but takes herself away again when she needs space. She will benefit from a quieter home. She could potentially live with children over 10 years that understand that she will not want cuddles and love all the time and will allow her to move away when she wants to, children that are noisy could be too much for Jet. She is sweet and does enjoy people's company but it is clear that Jet has not been a family pet before.

Jet has started to show us her goofy personality and loves playing with toys- in particular tennis balls! She will throw them up in the air herself and play around with them- seeing her come out of her shell and play has been heart-warming. She has also just started to venture out on little walks, this is still very new to her, and adopter's will need to continue to help build her confidence out on walks, this is something our staff can show you during a viewing.

Jet has kennel shared with some male dogs and has been introduced to them on the fields. She could live with a medium-large calm male dog, or she could live as an only dog.

She cannot live with cats.

Jet has just started to venture out on little walks, this is still very new to her, and adopter's will need to continue to help build her confidence out on walks, she will not be able to head out on walks immediately and will need some time to settle before this happens.
