5 years, Male, Medium Mixed Breed (Cocker spaniel size - short but long)
Cracker came of transport and showed us his gorgeous personality with a bang!
He is a people-oriented dog and will be your best friend if you give him time and patience to settle in and feel like part of the family!
He can be fussy and excitable; he does jump up to say hello and can get all up in your business! This would settle in a home, but he may still be nosy. Cracker can get overly stimulated when we come to see him in his kennel, and he does have a tendency to puppy mouthe your hands or ankles. This is not aggressive behaviour, and with 1-2-1 care in a home, with play, love, and mental stimulation this mouthing should die down.
Cracker could live in a home with quiet kids over 10 years - he can be sound sensitive, so noiser children will frighten him.
Cracker has been introduced to other dogs and has made some doggy friends already. He could live with a female dog.
He has not been tested with cats; therefore, he cannot live with a cat.
Cracker has started lead training. He can be nervous to begin with but then enjoys getting out of the kennels.
With time and patience Cracker is going to become a fantastic dog! He will need to learn that being left is okay as he will become attached very quickly if the work isn't put in. His ideal home would be someone that is around and in the home more.
