Apple arrived extremely frightened, she had eyes full of panic and hid herself away in one of the dog houses on the fields.
Within the first couple of days she got the confidence to walk outside into the yards but she stood and shook in fear. After a few more days we decided to introduce Apple to the other dogs in the rescue, and she currently shares a kennel with another dog...
Within 24hrs of Apple sharing a kennel with another dog she changed completely! She will now come running out of her crate to say hello, she does vocalise when she greets us and her little bottom shakes with joy! She's still not comfortable enough to have strokes just yet but has allowed some bits of touch so far.
She will be a project and will come out of her shell in her own time. She needs lots of time and patience to come out of herself and must not be pushed into situations before she is ready. Apple has shown us incredible progress whilst being in the rescue which will only get better in the home!
Apple is not currently walking on a lead but staff will show you how to do this for when she is ready.
